PER ASPERA AD ASTRA developed as an exhibition that was created as a result of the residency project “Mine Brunswick”, a stay of several months in different places in Switzerland. At a meeting in spring 2016 with the curator of the renowned LOKAL-INT, Chri Frautschi, he invited to design an exhibition. On August 18, 2016, the exhibition opened, in which the 9 artists, Alrun Aßmus, Marlene Bart, Lena Hoppenkamp, Jan Gerngroß, Alex Kuczewski, Max Jeromin, Jean D. Sikiaridis, Tarik Kentouche, Attila Wittmer and the publicist Christoph H. Winter, used a joint spatial installation to give the location a completely new look. In the course of Bergwick Mine’s project idea of exploring the cultural life of Switzerland, LOKAL-INT was transformed into a decoupled place of visualization. The walls were covered with black plastic and the room was filled with 10m³ of sawdust. Thus the LOKAL-INT became a plastic recording place of communication.
Finally, a publication about this project appeared.
